Did you hear the one about?

My boss was complaining in a staff meeting the other day that he wasn’t getting any respect.  Later that morning, he went out and got a small sign that read, “I’m the Boss”.  He then taped it to his office door.  Later that day, when he returned from lunch, he found someone had taped a note to the sign that said, “Your wife called.  She wants her sign back.”

The train was quite crowded, so a U.S. Marine walked the entire length looking for a seat, but the only seat left was taken by a well-dressed, middle-aged, French woman’s poodle.  The war-weary Marine asked, “Ma’am, may I have that seat?  The French woman sniffed and said to no one in particular, “Americans are so rude.  My little Fifi is using that seat.”  The Marine walked the entire train again, but the only seat left was under that dog.  “Please, ma’am may I sit down?  I’m very tired.”  She snorted.  “Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!”  This time the Marine didn’t say a word: he just picked up the little dog and threw it out the train window, and sat down.  The woman shrieked, “Someone must defend my honor!  This American should be put in his place!”   An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up, “Sir, you Americans often seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing.  You hold the fork in the wrong hand, you drive your cars on the wrong side of the road, and now, sir, you seemed to have thrown the wrong b!#@% out the window.

One night, my friends asked me to go out with them.  I told my wife I would be home by midnight.  Hours passed and the beers went down way too easy.  Around 3am I headed home.  Just as I walked in the door, the cuckoo clock chimed three times.  I quickly cuckooed 9 more times.  I was really proud of myself for coming up with a quick-witted solution.  The next morning my wife asked me what time I had gotten in.   I said, “Midnight, like I said.”  She seemed fine with my answer, so I thought that I had gotten away with it.  Then my wife promptly told me that we needed to get a new cuckoo clock.  I asked why and she said,  “Well last night our cuckoo clock cuckooed three times, said “Oh crap, cuckooed four more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed three more times, giggled, cuckooed two more times, then tripped over the coffee table and passed gas.”
